Stations range from single-platform deep-level tube stops to massive interchange complexes handling hundreds of thousands of daily boardings. The map visualises geographic coverage: where stations are densely packed in central areas providing frequent walk-up access, and where spacing widens on suburban extensions. Interchange stations where two or more metro lines cross are key network nodes.
